Judith Newland

Judith grew up in a Christian home near Kingsport,TN and came to know Christ as her Savior as a child. A strong missions emphasis in her home, church and a local Bible camp gave her an interest in missions. The Lord gave her a heart for Japan and the Japanese people while she was helping home school missionary children in Japan for a year before she started college. While studying business, English and geography at Virginia Tech, she gained ministry training and experience on campus. After college Judith returned to Japan to serve on the MTW Tokyo/Chiba Church-Planting Team. She has had many varied responsibilities on the team including evangelism, discipleship, administration, and missionary children’s education. Judith enjoys serving on a team and using her gifts in concert with other team members’ gifts to work together toward a church multiplication movement in Japan.

Japan is one of the largest nations in the world, which is still unreached with the gospel of Christ. Currently there is only one church for every 16,320 people, and the average church has about 25-30 people worshiping together on Sundays. Since the late 80s, the Lord has used the MTW Tokyo/Chiba team to help establish a presbytery in east Tokyo. Please pray that the presbytery will reproduce throughout Chiba, Japan and the world.
